SOUL SISTAH DOULA SERVICES
Prenatal Support
We provide comprehensive emotional, educational, and physical support to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey. Our services include personalized guidance in developing birth plans and education on the full range of childbirth options. To support a more comfortable labor experience, we offer calming relaxation techniques, guided breathing methods, and a variety of labor positions designed to reduce discomfort. We also assist families in preparing for the postpartum period through thoughtful planning, education, and compassionate support.
Labor and Delivery
We are available to the laboring person, offering support from the early stages of labor until the baby is born. Our doulas are trained in various comfort techniques to help manage pain in labor. We also extend our care to the mother's partner, offering guidance and encouragement to ensure they feel confident and actively involved in the birthing journey. Rather than replacing the partner's role, our doulas complement and enhance their ability to provide meaningful support, creating a unified and empowered birth team.
Postpartum Support
We support new parents as they navigate the physical recovery process after childbirth, offering compassionate care tailored to their needs. Our services include personalized assistance with breastfeeding, from proper positioning to overcoming common challenges, as well as practical guidance and hands-on support for newborn care, such as diapering, bathing, and creating a calming environment for your baby. To ease the transition into parenthood, our doulas also help with light household tasks like meal preparation, laundry, and tidying, allowing families to focus on bonding and healing during this special time.

At Soul Sistah Doula Services, our mission is to provide unwavering support, guidance, and empowerment to families throughout their journey into parenthood. We are committed to nurturing a safe and compassionate space where expectant parents can embrace the transformative experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
Our Founders
Soul Sistah Doula Services was founded in January 2024 by Adia, Ciara, and Mama Sarah following the completion of their doula training in the summer of 2023.
We are a team of dedicated doulas serving the High Desert and Inland Empire. We work together to ensure continuous support during a client's pregnancy and childbirth journey. We would be honored to be part of your birthing story and look forward to creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime!
Meet Our Doulas
Adia ShaBazz
Co-Founder
Adia is a Christian doula proudly supporting women throughout the Inland Empire. With a background in nursing and a lifelong passion for nurturing and caregiving, she provides compassionate, holistic support to expectant parents.
Specializing in out-of-hospital births, including home births and birth center births, she uses natural methods to empower women throughout their childbirth journey. She believes strongly in informed decision-making and equips families with the knowledge and resources needed to make choices that honor their birth preferences. Her goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where clients feel confident, respected, and cared for every step of the way.
Charmane
Charmane is a doula with Soul Sistah Doula Services, bringing over 22 years of experience working with children and families into her birth work. Her background in education informs her commitment to advocacy, clear communication, and supporting families through key life transitions.
As a doula, Charmane provides culturally responsive, evidence-based care centered on informed consent, bodily autonomy, and respectful maternity care. She supports families with patience and compassion, creating a calm, empowering birth environment.
Charmane's work is grounded in dignity, trust, and community. She is deeply committed to supporting Black and Brown families and believes strong beginnings matter, ensuring clients feel seen, heard, and supported through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Danielle
Danielle, also known as Aamirah, has always been passionate about providing care and support to others. She often says she was a mom before becoming a mom, guided by natural instincts to nurture, care for, support, and protect those around her.
When she is not supporting families, Danielle enjoys catering, party coordinating, traveling, and spending quality time with her two children and her mother. She looks forward to walking alongside families on their unique journeys to parenthood while helping create a peaceful, positive, and supportive environment.

Mama Sarah
Co-Founder
Dr. Sarah ShaBazz—affectionately known as Mama Sarah in her doula work—is a college professor of Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She earned her PhD in Education in 2019 and brings both academic expertise and lived experience to her practice.
As the biological mother of eleven children and grandmother to seventeen, Dr. ShaBazz has a deep, personal understanding of pregnancy, birth, and family life. She has many years of experience supporting birthing mothers by providing compassionate guidance throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
Her life's calling has always centered on nurturing and uplifting others. Whether offering a listening ear, a gentle touch, or evidence-based guidance, Dr. ShaBazz is committed to creating a safe, empowering, and supportive space for families throughout this extraordinary journey.
